Don’t forget this Sunday, March 14th is Mother’s Day. Get the kids busy making cards, flowers or jewelry boxes. Or get them cooking up a special Mother’s Day lunch that the whole family can enjoy.
Contrary to popular belief Mothers Day was not conceived by greeting card manufacturers but dates back to the annual spring festival the Greeks dedicated to Rhea, the mother of many deities, and to the offerings ancient Romans made to their Great Mother of Gods, Cybele.
So if there was ever an excuse to let yourself be pampered, this Sunday is that day. Even if its semi-raw eggs in bed or beheaded flowers with the newspaper, relish in the fact that your appreciated, if only for one day of the year!
Happy Mother’s Day from Tots2Teens
