Str8talking: Sex Education Talks For Parents & Young People.

Tots2Teens have joined forces with Str8talking to provide sex education programmes for parents to help them communicate with their children in an informed and open manner.

Joan Broderick, a qualifed nurse with 12 years experience delivering health education, runs ‘Str8talking’ and provides sex education programmes within the education sector in Ireland. A core element of Str8talking is the provision of a schools programme which compliments the Social Personal & Health Education syllabus in primary & secondary schools.  All programmes focus on providing factual, age appropriate information.

We aim to bring this programme to parents so that they have the know how and skills to approach their children in a confident and open manner in relation to topics such as Sexually Transmitted Infections, Sexual Health, Sexuality and Sex Education.

Str8talking’s parental programme is designed to help parents impart information to their child/young adult.

Groups are varied and can be One:One, both parents, or a group of Mums and Dads or parents and child.

Joan also runs a programme for children and for parents of children with special needs.
