A note on the Nellies from our logo…

As a new Mum one thing that I really noticed was how much I would have loved to live closer to my Mum and family. This was for two reasons really, I was so clueless about lots of things and just having someone to bounce everyday and sometimes even basic questions off of would have been great and secondly it would have been lovely to have been able to pop in for a coffee or the odd lunch and enjoy the company.

In the modern world which we live in families are spread over different cities and even continents so now more than even Community and a Social Circle is vital.

What we at Tots2Teens would love to do is build a community for parents on which they can share their experiences and look out for each other. Through our classes Mums and Dads meet each other, share experiences and become friends…..At our Pregnancy yoga and Antenatal Classes we try and create a relaxed and friendly environment so that Mums and Dads can meet others in the same position as themselves. Our Paediatric First Aid, Baby Massage, and other classes all offer opportunities to meet with and get to know others at the same life stage as you.

For our logo we chose Elephants as we thought they represented the what we would hope Tots2Teens would become, a community of Mums and Dads sharing experiences and meeting each other through the classes we hold and our Blog and Forum. Female elephants spend their entire lives in tightly knit family groups made up of mothers, daughters, sisters, and aunts. The social circle of the female elephant does not end with the small family unit. In addition to encountering the local males that live on the fringes of one or more groups, the female’s life also involves interaction with other families, clans, and subpopulations.

Come to one of our classes, contribute to our forum or blog, join our online community!
